June 29th Update
Ahhhhh....sunset on the Atlantic....there is nothing quite like it.  Especially when you are on a homeward voyage...down the east coast of Florida....It is a special evening out here...the sun is about 2 fingers above the horizon..which means 15 minutes to sunset in nautical terms....We are heading home.  Before leaving the yard we bussed 25 of my finest crew to Jacksonville.....all in the day of a team member at victory casino.....The Bus departed at 0500 from the terminal heading fro Jacksonville.  It is "launch day" on the Victory.....I watched them arrive from high on the bridge....even higher as we were still  "on the hill" They all checked on board about 0830 with brooms, mops, cleaning gear and "elbow grease...."  We slid smartly off the hill at 1101AM sharp on the slack tide.  We paused a bit to perform all the prudent safety checks...and then slid smartly into the St. Johns river....

It is now 8pm.....9 hours later and we have not stopped....cleaning this ship from top to bottom.....me snapping the whip....with my wooden leg and eye patch...lol....

We are getting there....we will work through the night.....ready for the post-shipyard inaugural cruise......

Come join us Friday.....

See ya on board.....
